PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: The PROTO Death Star Fender is the smallest, strongest and simplest-to-use fenders available in scootering and is the newest addition to PROTO’s PATENTED Universal Braking System (UBS)™ ecosystem; featured on all PROTO TDI™ DEX™ from the Orion 2 (2014) onwards. The PATENTED UBS™ Slide Adjustment Slot™ on TDI™ DEX™ allows this fender to “slide” to accommodate any wheel diameter from 100mm to 125mm; or adjustable for preferred foot placement and is held tightly in place with a single bolt requiring only a single allen key. Its strength comes from its Stainless Steel construction, hydraulically pressed on a custom 3D forming die, adding corrugated ridges to stiffen the entire fender as well as heat formed and hardened threads integrated into the body of the fender itself to eliminate the possibility of stripping. Many antiquated styles of brakes and fenders relied on having multiple bolts to keep them from twisting on the deck but with the UBS™ technology by PROTO, the Fender features a small tab/key in front of the bolt that interlocks with the UBS™ Slide Adjustment Slot™ on your TDI™ DEX™ to keep the fender from rotating despite only utilizing one bolt. The PROTO Death Star UBS™ Fender is technically complex yet beautifully simple and has set a new standard for Brake and Fender compatibility.
