This block will run for 8 weeks from 7 April through 26 May at the new time of 10.30-12.
You can attend some or all weeks and join at any time.
For ages 16+. Classes are 90 minutes long - 45 minutes is a structured lesson and the rest is for freestyle and practicing whatever you want. The classes take place at Step Out Dance Company, 3 Rongotai Road, Kilbirnie in the upstairs studio. Any questions? Send us an email to jamclubnz@gmail.com
What to expect:
You will learn foundational skills for dancing on roller skates like stepping and weight transfer as well as some sweet dance moves to express yourself on roller skates. The instructors vary week to week so you will be exposed to a range of styles. Jam Club instructors have strengths in teaching footwork and flow, musicality and how to find the beat, swag and style, and tips and tricks for learning set choreography.
While safety equipment isn't required for our indoor classes, it can really help with confidence and a sense of security, especially for beginners.
